Spain...
Well hello there to those who haven´t given up on checking out this webpage b/c i am so slack!
After leaving good ol sydney town back on the 25th February i have manage to travel throughout northern india without getting sick!
I have slept under the stars in the Rajasthani Desert, and riden stinky camels....seen the majestic fortresses at Jaislamer and Jodpur and sipped on Lemon Soda throughout the country! India was amazing and being cought up there during the holi festival, having trains cancelled and having bright powder thrown in my eyes and face made me really appreciate being part of a group!
India is not for the faint hearted. Not the far western area and i would recomend any woman traveling alone to consider a group. That said the country is full of history and amazing things to see, from Muslim Mosques to Hindu Temples, the River Ganga and Puja´s being performed to just interacting with the locals at markets and during your days! seeking out great bakerys and finding loos!
From my endevour of a flight from Kolkutta to London, i have since relaxed! taken a breathe and taken in Europe in a very different way to that of 2002. Colin and I have been travelling by car throughout Italy and Spain, with 4 days inbetween in Paris! Very nice and being able to stay in the pensions insted of hostels has been a really nice change! We have degustationed on pizza, pasta, myriad vino, pastries and gelati, citron tartes, you name it! I now have a rather well rounded middle!
We are presently in Spain enjoying the Easter amongst some of the holiest, in Salamanca, we are heading further sth tmw and off to Cordoba and Granada, taking in the Sierra Nervada soon! Then up to Madrid for some more Tapa´s and a tase of Flaminco before heading off to to Scandinavia to try our hands and feet on the Fjords...
Adios for now Amigos!
