Bangkok and Koh Pan Nang
Amazed by all the Elephants in bangkok - just on the streets - with their droopy sad eyes, drugged out so they dont run away. The busy markets EVERYWHERE, even in Bangkok this is the most popular way to sell things. There are shopping centers, but many still use the markets. They all seem to come alive at night and when we arrived at 10pm, our taxi driver couldn't get through to our hotel due to the markets that had popped up.
At our chosen island Koh Pan Nang it was Hot, though we had chosen wisely on a place to stay. Taken stright there by open air ute taxi, we where the last to get off. We both thought GREAT... if its really bad we'll just have to get a taxi elsewhere - As it turned out, it was the best we had seen. Great friendly people, clean and you could eat every meal if you wished by the ocean at a very cheap price right there...really tough to take, especially after being on a 14 hour bus ride followed by a few hours layover and a 4 hour ferry. We were pretty happy be there!
Water was warm and the mango shakes the best! I took the drugs prescibed for me though not realising they took a little while to work, was getting worried that i had gathered yet another friendly! Thankgoodness i did'nt...
