GRASSLANDS
wow setting out early -- for the grasslands area - a pristine environment very green, with flower all over (well this is the wet season!)
orchards and wildflowers everywhere.... hard to find a place to take a pee though as the hills are just rolling hills ...arrh the dilemas.
went to a school out here - due to some funding in recent years the school has grown from only 20 to 50 students -- the rooms are small though the kids dont mind, they still have smiles from ear to ear - we had a lesson on tibetan language --- there alphabet is only 15 symbols though they all have 3 different symbols you can add to them making 45, unlike our 26.
then we went for a walk to the CAVE -- about 5km -- past a monastery to this cave which has been used or centuries as a pilgrimage - there where many offerings and colourful flags ...
after crawling and sliding in this great cave -- we where invited to join a family to have fruite and beer and dance to modern chinese music ---even some house music-- so much fun...
though it only took a few sips for us be tipsy as we were at about 3000m, been walking in the sun (miday) for two hours --
back home after walking back and donating our bottles to the kids... enjoyed a great veggie curry at the nepalese curry house ..yum
